It’s called “Buying Organic” I am sure you must have heard of cattle that are not treated with hormones, drugs, and garbage food? It’s like the way farming was 40 years ago, before people got greedy and put refuse in to dog food. Yes there is a way to avoid it its called food inspections, and its called regulations for pet food. Its called cleaning up the food chain.

Here is a serious question, doc: how can you fully avoid meat by-products? Even if you feed your pets fresh beef cutlets from the supermarket, the cattle slaughtered grew up on cattle feed, which was enriched with either protein meal or tallow, both of which are meat by-products from rendering plants. Cutlets of supermarket beef can contain trace amounts of pentobarbitial (used to euthanize pets) because those cattle grew up on cattle feed enriched with by-products. You can’t fully avoid them
